JULY 12 / 2011 - "OUTSIDER ART THERAPY"

Dear friends,

I am happy to present you my new digital album.
Once again, it was written, recorded & mixed by me. 16 songs / about 40 minutes of homemade music.

A friend of mine had asked me if she could make a video for the first track on the album ("The Fashion Police") and it made me want to illustrate the other 15 song with videos... so I spent quite some time finding some archive images that could match the content of the songs and then I edited them with IMovie.

I must say the whole thing was a lot of work, but in the end, I am pretty excited about the result and I hope you will be too.

Have a nice summer,
x
julie

APRIL 15 / 2011 - BUS FARE "O.W.M.A."

FEBRUARY 07 / 2011 - READY TO GO STEADY

About a year ago, I've been asked by Sir Ian Parton to try to record some vocals on a few songs he was working on for his band The Go! Team.
A couple of months later, a friend of his, friendly and talented director James Slater (he's the guy behind most of The Go! Team's videos) arrived in Bordeaux in order to shoot a super 8 musical film for the song "Ready to go steady" (It is track 4 on their new album "Rolling Blackouts") and here is the result of what he had in mind:

JANUARY 24 / 2011 - GOODBYE PARTHENON

A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure to find a couple of casiotone for the painfully alone 7" in my mailbox.
One of them is a split single featuring his song "Goodbye Parthenon" where I'm singing some backing vocals. I absolutely love the artwork he did for that song.
I feel like the record might not be so easy to find, but in case you're interested, it's called "Split Series #5" and was released on One Inch Badge Records. Another 7" he sent me is called "Instrumentals #2 EP" and was released on Stationary (Heart) Records.
It's really a great vinyl and I love the clarity of how the music sounds without any vocals. They sell it for 5 american dollars on their website. Lately, I've also been collaborating with Sir Dom Thomas from Finders Keepers on a couple of songs (including my first one in french...) and you should definitely check out their website for they release some of the most unusual / unnheard music out there (they have a bunch of soundclips available).

MAY 01/2010 - JUKEBOX

I am still working on a new album but in the meantime i finished the lispector's jukebox page where you can listen to most of my recordings.
Hope you will enjoy it.

FEBRUARY 09/2010 - NEW SPLIT E.P. / LIBERATIONS

a couple of weeks ago, Pierre aka Petit Fantôme and I saw each other at a concert here in Bordeaux and we decided to put out a split E.P...
It's called "Libérations Sentimentales" and you can order it from me in the shopping section (SOLD OUT) . oh and one of my songs features kumisolo on vocals.

FEBRUARY 09/2010 - REINVENTING THE WHEEL

Bus Fare' s new album "Reinventing the Wheel" is now available on Stay Hard Harry, you can order it through their website : http://stayhard.free.fr/
The album contains 11 new songs recorded during one week last summer.
LIsten to "Coast to Coast" here (mp3 version)

AUGUST 29/2009 - BF

Bus Fare' s first e.p. "We Are Bus Fare" was released a couple of weeks ago on Stay Hard Harry.
There's only 50 copies available and you can email us at wearebusfare@gmail.com if you want a copy.
Claire (aka Little Red) and I (we're the two members of Fus Bare) have actually just finished recording what will be the second Bus Fare record.
We recorded 11 tracks in 7 days this time. Still on my four track recorder, still in Bordeaux ; i'm going to do my best to mix it soon.

I also went to Strasbourg and recorded 3 songs for what might become an Herzfeld online e.p. and also helped my friend Sylvain record what should become the first Nunna Daul Isunyi (his musical project) e.p. His songs are great and we're almost done recording it. yay !

MAY 18/2009 - SPRING COMES SUMMER

i've been recording vocals for owen from casiotone for the painfully alone and you can hear the result on his album "Vs. Children".
the song is called "man o' war' and it was a real pleasure to sing it as i love owen's lyrics. i was actually happily surprised to hear how our vocals sound together.
anyway, he's one of the most interesting musicians i know and i'm really proud to appear on this album.

last but not least, i finished mixing a new musical project i have with claire from little red.
we recorded 7 songs in 7 days on my 4-track recorder 2 weeks ago and we will release it on cdr very soon. our band is called "bus fare" and i'm pretty happy with the result and it was really fun to just hang out and make music.

it somehow reminded me of my Invisible Friend days, when we used to record in christopher's apartment(s) in nyc. and although christopher _C. Depp_ now lives in texas (where he became a local banjo hero), and i in bordeaux, andrew just finished to mix another invisible friend album which will be out soon. fun times!

NOVEMBER 10/2008 - DRUMS

my friends from Maison Neuve released a new e.p. called "victor, victor".
It's available on Sauvage Records and you should get it.
I play the drums on one of the songs and I must add that playing drums with Maison Neuve is as fun as playing bowling, darts and yahtzee at the same time.

OCTOBER 10/2008 - TIME

i started recording music exactly 12 years ago. i just realized that today.
anyway, i'm working on different small projects these days and hopefully i'll be able to finish one of them soon and make a cdr or something.

AUGUST 2008 - HAPPINESS

Twisted Nerve Records (Finders Keepers) released a lispector album in the UK. It's called Guide To Personal Happiness.
It is named after one of the songs on the album and is made of a selection of demos I recorded in the past.
